La Palma is an island for the individual with a commitment to responsible tourism: There are no big all-inclusive hotels, but more than enough nice places to stay. There is no competition for cheap beers, but a broad variety of small Tapas bars, international cuisine and places to enjoy your well earned time away. |

Active holidays on La Palma

There are some things you must see while you are here: The observatory on Roque de los Muchachos, the volcanoes in the south, the natural pools in Charco Azul.... And you must taste the grilled goat cheese, the fried cuttlefish and the canarian potatos with "mojo", a red or green sauce.
Apart from the fact that diving is - in our opinion - the best thing to do, we can help you to arrange non-diving activities too. If you want to go on a boat trip, join a hiking tour or just rent a car - let us know, and we will arrange it for you. Most hiking tours are better to be done in a group - you don't have to care for the transport, and you will get a lot of extra information on the way. Several guides offer a good service, one of the bigger ones is Natour. A good thing to do on the water is a whalewatching excursion with the Flipper, or a slow, nice day on the ocean on the Bussard. How to get to La Palma
|
Even as a very small island, La Palma has an international Airport (SPC). It is one of these small, tricky airports - when you land here, for a moment you might be afraid to land in the ocean. But no worries, the pilots usually know what they are doing.
As there are a lot more flights to the bigger islands, you might chose to go to Tenerife or Gran Canaria, and take a connecting flight with Binter Canarias. |
