Diving in the volcanic south of La Palma

The south of La Palma is a very special place - a rough, volcanic landscape, wild and interesting. A lot of guests chose to stay in the Teneguia Princess hotel down in Fuencaliente, or in some of the private apartments in the area.
As there is no divecenter in the south of La Palma, but some spectacular divesites, we offer a mobile diving service for those who are staying in the south. We bring your equipment and just pick you up at the hotel, or meet directly at the divesite. Yes, you can go diving when you stay in Fuencaliente!

Diving excursions in Fuencaliente

In the south of La Palma, we have two of the most interesting divesites of the island: Las Cabras and Malpique. We can take you there for two nice dives, with a reasonable surface interval in between. After the dives, there is a posibiliy to stop at one of the nice kioskos at the beach, get some drinks and food and after-dive-talk.
Anyway, if you want to dive more than just one or two days, it is recomendable to take a rental car. This gives you the flexibility to join us as well at other dive sites - we just bring your equipment with us and meet directly at the dive site.

Snorkling and Try-Dives

The small, untouristic beaches in the south are really a paradise: in midth of this rough, dark landscape, the colourful world under water is a perfect contrast, and even seems to be more colourful than elsewhere. Lots of fishes stay just beyond the surface, so we can see a lot in a snorkling tour. And if you just want to go down and stay in between the fishes, the places are perfect for an unforgettable first diving experience, a Try dive.
Because snorkling and diving fit perfectly well into a nice plan for a whole day at the beach, we offer our guests from the south a special tour which combines both activities. In the morning, we start with a snorkling tour, and after a short break and an introduction to Scuba diving, we take you to the water again, with a full scuba equipment. Even if you have seen it before from the surface, you will be amazed how different it is to be in the middle of the water.
