Diving on La Palma: Caves, Lava and lots of colourful fishyfish

The Underwater world of La Palma reflects the recent volcanic activities on the island and offers us a broad variety of marine species.
Temperatures from 19 to 25 degree allow us to enjoy the water without getting cold. Visibility up to 50m allows us to see the famous underwater landscape.
We offer you dives at several fantastic dive spots at our house reef and day-trips to all the other spots on the island. Be sure to discover  the whole variety of diving and landscapes whilst you're with us.
For your safety and comfort, all our dives are led by an experienced guide.

How is a day with the Punkfishes organized?

We meet every day at 10am at our dive centre. If you live in Fuencaliente, you can sleep in, and if you have to drive here, you can do it without any hassle - it's a holiday. Here we pack the equipment and set off together. It's good to have your own rental car, but we usually have a place free.
From here we drive down to the southern tip, or east or west. If you live closer to the dive site, we simply bring the equipment with us and meet on site.
The dives all start from shore, with different entry points. Often over a beach, but sometimes it gets rocky. We do two dives in a row, with a reasonable surface interval - warming up, eating biscuits and getting rid of some nitrogen.
Afterwards we can stop at a nice kiosk down below, or drive back to the base, depending on our mood. Here we rinse the equipment, disinfect the regulators, write the logbook... While the tanks are being filled up again, there are deco drinks in our fridge and we can end the diving day on the terrace in front of the office.

Your dive made to measure

Every diver is looking for something special, but not everyone is looking for the same. Probably a normal group is always too slow for you, or too fast, or they want to go too deep, or stay too shallow.....
If you want a dive that adjusts really perfectly to what you want, without considering the wishes of anyone else, you might decide to book a private guide. We are happy to do with you what ever you want. You tell us what you are looking for, and one of our experienced guides will adjust the dive to your wishes.

Train exactly what YOU need

You did your certification, but you still feel insecure about a lot of things, and would like to repeat some specific exercises? Or you want to try to dive with some new equipment, like a twin tank, but without doing the full course for it? You want to train some specific abilities and get some usefull hints on how to develop your diving skills? There is no course that offers what you want to learn?
No problem. We are happy to do some specific training for everything we can teach, tailored to your interests and needs. Our aim is providing high quality training, not selling plastic cards - so just tell us what you want, or ask for some recommendations, and we do the training you need with you. As long as you repeat what you have already learned, you can go and train with a Divemaster, whenever you want to learn something new or get into new equipment, one of our instructors is happy to design a programm for you.

Extended Range: Dive longer, dive deeper

Just in the best moment of the dive, you are getting to your no-decompression and gas - limits. You would really like to stay, but it is time to go up....
In this case, it is probably time to extend your range. If you just want to stay a bit longer, there is an easy way to learn how to do decompression dives, take a small stage tank an stay a bit longer. You will see that decompression on shore dives is beautiful, it just leads us to stay for a while in the very shallow, bright and colourful area, where we still have a lot to see.

And if you are interested in becoming a real technical diver, you can do your first courses with twinsets and staged decompression with us. A new challenge for those who want to dive beyond recreational limits.

For already qualified Technical Divers, we offer technical guides with knowledge about the best deep spots. We support OC and CCR and can guide up to hypoxic trimix dives. With Helium, Oxigen and a booster we are ready to prepare any mix you want and have a nice range of stage, Bailout and Rebreather tanks available.
